From early V0 development to the latest updates: a history of improvements to shape, colour and part connections.

YOSHINANI Model is Brick’s creation system, combining AI shape generation with conversion to real parts.

Choose the structure, stairs and room arrangement

Buildings with interiors now support left or right straight stairs, central switchback stairs and an L-shaped courtyard layout. Supported structures can place living or public rooms at the front or rear on each floor.
Furniture positions and orientations adapt to rooms, with checks for access to use faces, landings and stair clearance.
New generations consider different structural preferences when choices are unspecified. Existing creations and non-building generation methods are preserved.

Removed the intermediate concept-image step and switched to generating a 3D shape directly from the prompt.
Simplified the process to reduce image-generation waits and inconsistencies between different views.

Correct part orientation and placement in exports

Aligned rectangular parts with the coordinate conventions of the building-file format.
Fixed cases where exported parts were rotated by 90 degrees or shifted by half a stud despite appearing valid in internal checks.

Introduced a process that created four views of the same subject and used them to build a 3D shape.
The intermediate step aimed to communicate depth and a brick-built appearance more clearly.
Retained V2.1’s connected part conversion. V4 later replaced this image-based process.

Expanded the search for connecting placements to reduce rejected creations caused by disconnected parts.

Tested and rejected separate shape and colour generation

Tested generating a shape separately from colouring it using multiple views.
Outline changes, missing surfaces and broken connections remained, and some previously successful results regressed.
The proposal did not meet the acceptance criteria and was never released as a production version. Development continued from V1.5 to V2.

When the existing editor was integrated, AI proposed brick positions, dimensions and colours directly.
A separate building method constructed shapes from conditions such as width, floor count and windows.

Early assistance with concepts and building ideas

Added creation assistance that returned a concept image, part hints, design notes and suggested building techniques.
This helped explore building ideas and was different from today’s generation of 3D creations with real parts.

Listed newest first. Entries describe changes at the time and may differ from features available today. V3.0.1 corrected orientations in saved creations. Current updates do not automatically regenerate earlier creations. Building shapes and interiors have supported limits; physical assembly and structural strength are not guaranteed.
